ROOT SPORTS ANNOUNCES THIRD SEASON OF HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL COVERAGE

Regular Season Games will showcase Seattle/Tacoma Schools in “Game of the Week” Presented by Papa Murphy’s

ROOT SPORTS televises its third season of the High School Football “Game of the Week” featuring returning sponsor, Papa Murphy’s. Coverage began last week with Tumwater High School hosting Capital High and Serra Gardner at Bellevue. The “Game of the Week” continues this Thursday, September 11th, with live coverage of the Eastlake vs. Inglemoor game.

This season ROOT SPORTS’ broadcast schedule showcases games for the entire nine week season. In total, 12 regular-season games will be televised, including Friday and Saturday games in the third week of September and October. In addition, the semifinal games and the 3A and 4A WIAA State Championship games will be broadcasted.

The slate of games known as the ROOT SPORTS High School Football “Game of the Week” Presented by Papa Murphy’s will feature teams from throughout the Seattle/Tacoma area. Of the 16 games, 11 will be shown live and the remaining five will be on tape delay. Each game will be shown throughout ROOT SPORTS Northwest’s five state region and will have a debut airing, as well as at least one replay.

Brad Adam will provide play-by-play and work with returning analyst, Taylor Barton. Adam has been with ROOT SPORTS since June 2000, and in his current role hosts Mariners Pregame and Postgame Shows. Barton, a former quarterback at the University of Washington, joined the ROOT SPORTS team following a successful football career. In addition, he oversees the Barton Football Academy, which is one of the Northwest’s premier football camps.
