VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS AVAILABLE TO ROOT SPORTS VIEWERS IN MONTANA AND IDAHO

AT&T Sports Networks, the rights holder of the Vegas Golden Knights regional game telecasts, announced today that ROOT SPORTS will be carrying Vegas Golden Knights NHL games in that network’s entire coverage area in Montana and Idaho.

In addition to the ROOT SPORTS distribution in Montana and Idaho, Vegas Golden Knights games are also distributed on the AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain regional sports network, which recently announced deals with Cox, CenturyLink/Prism, DIRECTV and U-Verse to distribute Golden Knights games in Las Vegas and throughout Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Southeast Idaho, Central California and Northern Arizona.

“We are very pleased to announce this additional expanded distribution on ROOT SPORTS”, said Patrick Crumb, President of AT&T Sports Networks. “With today’s announcement, Golden Knights games are now available to viewers throughout the team’s entire NHL-authorized territory, which is the largest in the country.”

“We are excited to bring NHL games to the Northwest region, we believe this is a great addition to our already robust programming line-up,” said ROOT SPORTS General Manager Mark Jorgensen. “We are always looking for opportunities to bring quality programming to our viewers and we are looking forward to doing just that with this addition of 75 Vegas Golden Knights games.”

“Our vision is to make the Vegas Golden Knights ‘the team of the Rockies.’” added Bill Foley, Chairman and CEO of the Vegas Golden Knights. “We are thrilled that viewers in Montana and Idaho will also be able to enjoy the excitement of Golden Knights hockey on ROOT SPORTS for our historic, inaugural season.”

The Las Vegas Golden Knights are the first NHL expansion team since 2000 and the first professional sports team in Las Vegas. The Vegas Golden Knights participated in the NHL expansion draft and acquired notable players Marc Andre Fleury from the Pittsburgh Penguins and James Neal from the Nashville Predators, both of whom participated in the 2017 Stanley Cup Finals. The Golden Knights made history on Tuesday evening by becoming the first expansion team in NHL history to open the regular season by winning its first three games.
